#Photo Talk : Type Of Photograph

A Walking Hollow Snails.

There are two types of photography.
1. Shoot What You See.
2. Plan What You Shoot

The first type is relatively easy and you pretty much shoot what you are looking at. The 2nd one, you have to plan the equipment for the theme you have in mind of getting.

#PhotoTalk #A Macro Photography : What is Focus Stacking & How it' Work On Macro Photograph?

Hye everyone, today I want to talk about Macro Photography, one of my favourite part. So, today title of our talk is, Focus Stacking.

I know everyone out there knows what is macro photography. If still don't get it, ok, here I will giving a simple explanation about macro photography.

Macro photography basically aims to achieve what cannot be seen by the naked eye, without magnification images. So if we take a macro photo to see what can be seen by the naked eye, that is not a macro photography. Example, if we only raise an insects a whole, it is included in the category of documentation of insects, rather than macro photography . So, the key that you guys must set in your mind about macro photography is aims to achieve what cannot be seen by the naked eye, without magnification images.

Ok, lets move to our main subject, Focus Stacking. What is focus stacking? Focus Stacking is a method that combines the focused areas from a sequence of imagesConsider a scenario where you take a picture of a lady bug. Depending on where you had your focus, you had to make a choice either the head is in focus, the wings or the tail. What if you could take three shots and combine them into one photograph where everything is in focus?

This is exactly what focus stacking does. In focus stacking you take lots of images each focuses on a different part of the lady bug (or different distance from the camera). Then you take all the images and let a piece of software combine them. Some of software I use for focus staking is CombineZ and Stack Focuser.

But, there is another thing that so and most important in macro photography. What it is? It's Focus itself.
First and foremost, focus is paramount in a macro photograph. This may seem obvious, but focusing is more problematic in macro than it is in any other field. The reason is that one of the consequences of shooting at a close distance is shallow depth of field (DOF), so shallow in fact that it is often quite hard to get accurate focus. With depth of field of less than a millimeter, getting any part of the animal in focus can often be quite a challenge. Accurate focusing and sufficient depth of field are thus especially significant in macro photography. Depth of field is so fundamental. Picture down there showed example why focus is so important in macro photograph.

So, everyday we learning new things and I hope from this shared, it will help you guys to captured great macro photograph. I am thanking to my Guru in photography, Mr.Reza for teach and explained everything about photography to me. May God bless you always. Happy reading and Happy Photography!!

Photo Talk : Photographer.

Are You Really a Photographer? Probably Not.

I know, we could say “I’m practicing to become proficient” and that makes me a photographer. OK, but that’s not really how it works out there. In other skills, it’s pretty much assumed you’re skilled if you say you’re a…. doctor, lawyer, mechanic, carpenter, baseball player, etc.

In the real world, “practicing to be proficient” also means you’re training. And that doesn’t mean making up your own rules and calling it your style. It means continually exercising your skill to become even more skilled. You don’t just become something because you bought the gear, and you don’t stay proficient without continued practice of your craft.

What am I getting at? Chiefly this. The word photographer has been deluded. It seems everybody and his brother (and probably his mother too) gets a camera, makes a crappy website, gets a Facebook page, then calls themselves a photographer and charges people for the snapshots they make which require almost no skill. In so doing they to a disservice to themselves and the client.

If you hammer in a nail does that make you you “a builder”? If you remove a sliver with a pen knife are you “a surgeon”? If you get a camera are you “a photographer”? I say no.

You are not yet a practitioner of the craft that is photography. That takes time. A lot of it, and the standard is higher than ever if you really want to stand out. I even see long time pro’s who are not making the grade. They’re not “practicing” their craft. They’ve become slack, thinking they’re “good enough”.
