A Wedding Photography Tips

Hye guys, as my promise (wedding photography post ) last week, today in very early morning, I woke up and managed to write something about Wedding Photography Tips by Arifuddin Rahmad, really special and only for you guys who really want to start making a wedding photography yourself. I'm not a Pro Wedding Photographer but I think, giving few tips based on my experience in photography will help you guys on this topic of Wedding Photography. Maybe got a friends or family wedding around a corner and need some tips to have a great wedding photograph, so here you are .

As we know, wedding photography is a career that are increasingly gaining acceptance among the fans of art photography. With the cheap DSLR camera prices, the growing digital camera market, is one of the main factors used, photography as a career chosen. In Malaysia, many people think that photography is not a career or maybe a Third Class career to be chosen by someone like me myself, compared to europe, photography field is First Class career to stand up same level to professional career like pilot, engineer, architect and etc. So for better future in photography, move to europe lah. Just joke. Ok?

Alright, enough with the nonsense, we go thru the #tips here.

1. Make a list.
Creating some list before you go shot a wedding, a list that I used to named it "Shot List". Its important,
really important to give best shots. Make a workflow to shots details, where the bride make up, bride
and groom family shots, or anything that you already imagine what kind of shot you want to capture on
Dday. This is really helpful because you already knows where the angle you want, how the photo will be
crop and much much more.

2. Survey the location.
Go early to bridegroom houses to locate where the best place to see bride with suitable lighting, not too
crowded with guests and etc.I'm sure, most Pros don't do this but I find it really helpful to know where we're going, get some skecth and idea of a few positions for shots and know how the light might come into play at the places.

3. Capture a moment.
Use your eyes to see anything everything around you like a frame of pictures . Capture how the family
gathered together , the moment before the bride and the groom go for "akad nikah" or be announce as
husband and wife and anything to be suit with a "moment" that you want .

4. Don't discard your pictures.
For me, in wedding its wrong to delete a picture that have captured . Why I said its wrong? The answer
is because the problem with this is that you might just be getting rid of some of the more intresting and
useful images. Maybe some images that doesn't work on you in shots, but when you see it back in your
computer, maybe its would be so intresting captured and useable images.I always take in my mind,
maybe the pictures can be manipulate to be more arty or abstract images and can be cropped to image
that I want.

5. Enjoy the day
This is the most important part. Sometimes, to be honest, its getting tired after wholeday walking and
running around to have a best shots. But, get rid off the tired, enjoy what you doing. Have fun with the
day. Wedding ceremony is about to celebrate and they should be fun.
Darren Rowse ( the editor and founder of Digital Photography School ) said,
"the more fun have as the photographer, the more relaxed those you are photographing will be."

So, that's all the tips I want to shared today. Maybe next time will be more tips I'll write about. Remember
guys, enjoy and have fun with what you doing. For me, no matter what that we do, if that is our passion,
go for it and you will gain a succesful life. I'm so passionate in photography and that's what I really doing
now.

Happy Photography!
